"Jesus, Lead Thou On" is a hymn that was likely sung at church, and Mr. Emil Kirchenbauer included it in his letter.

This letter greets the Orman family, thanking them for their Christmas card, then requesting new trousers. Mr. Kirchenbauer wishes the Orman's well and thanks them once again.
