The Erbsens were the other family the Ormans helped support. Friedrich Erbsen and his wife, whose name was never mentioned, had two small children: a girl who was 3 years old and a boy who was about 8 months old at the earliest letter in March of 1947. Mr. Erbsen served in the First World War but not the second due to health problems.

Most of their belongings were destroyed in the war, leaving them with nothing and no way to buy more clothes, supplies, furniture, or other goods.

Mr. and Mrs. Erbsen were faithful Christians who constantly expressed their gratitude for the packages.
